There is information that can help every student. I would assume that we are all in college because we hope to find a job after college. So, why wouldn't you frequently visit Career Services. There are regular events designed to help you find a job and career counselors on hand every day to help you prepare for interviews, update your resume, or help guide you on the right path to achieving your career goals.
So, what useful things can you find on our website? For starters, we have all of our events listed on the calendar. We have some great events coming up this month, lunch and learns, grad school day, health career fairs, and many others.
The website also has all the information you need about JobShop so you can earn a little spending money in between classes, or save it for after graduation if you like to plan ahead.
The Discover program is also linked to the website. This is a career guidance tool, you answer a series of questions and the program will look at your interests and give you suggestions on types of careers you might enjoy. Discover has other useful features as well, you can even search the specifics for a job title or industry to find out what the work environment and salary usually is.
You can also use the website to link to our blogs, facebook page, optimal resume, and career-related articles.
If I haven't already given you enough reasons to check out the website here are a few more: there are tips from employers about what they look for an interviews, information on writing cover letters, and information regarding different careers.
